Volunteering

We offer opportunities in our art and music studios for artistic and creative people who feel that they would be happy to assist in the day to day running of the project or sharing a particular craft, skill or talent.

Within the talking therapies we offer opportunities for placement counsellors and post graduate counsellors from level 4 and above to join our therapist team.

We currently have the fantastic support of Michael, a fabulous literary genius who is offering a Storycircle and Catherine who has a degree in meditation offering courses in mindfulness and meditation. If you would like to offer to volunteer to run a course in something that you are qualified in, we will consider all applications to enhance our holistic services.

Evidence shows that volunteering some of your time can enhance not just other people’s lives but also have a real positive impact on enhancing your own life.

Volunteering can be good for your mental and physical health with you giving something back into your community helping and supporting others to reach a better sense of wellbeing.

Learn new skills, have some fun, meet new people and improve your sense of wellbeing.

All volunteers will be DBS checked, have training and supervision to support them to have a safe and enjoyable experience with SWADS.

Please do contact us for more information or to discuss further.
